This album was truly a labor of love that was crafted over the Spring, Summer and Fall of 2023. After releasing my last album the first song I recorded was a 10 minute song (unintentionally) on my looping pedal and it gave me the inspiration to then record a 9 minute down to 1 minute track to fit a theme.

This album is a sonic exploration of grief and how to live with it. Since the passing of my partner in May of this year I have struggled with creativity in general, but just working towards the goal of completing this album has helped me process loss & given me a healthy outlet to express myself.

The tracks are layered deep with all of the many instruments at my disposal, also samples from friends/family/random media. The instrumentation was layered with what was primarily first takes of me just jamming with myself. It gives the tracks an improvisational and unpolished feel to them which reflects my raw emotional state during time of recording.

The album reflects the theme of a countdown which is fitting for releasing during the end of the year. It is also a countdown to a change in my sound, I am planning a singer/songwriter album for my next album that centers around my acoustic guitar Gus.
